What will the competitions process look like?
-To apply to the ZeHomes competition you must be in University Education or within 2 years of fully completing it and must have a team of at least 6 people. The application must be completed before the admission deadline.

-Once applied and accepted the team can access the guideline for your project.
​
-A online training course will be provided by ZeHomes in which at least half of your team members will have to partake in prior to the competition starting.
​
-You will then be set free to create your projects in which a project process report will need to be made and sent to us before the set deadline.
​
-A maximum of 50 teams will be chosen to continue in the competition, the rest will be eliminated. Each team will be assigned an expert faculty leader to answer any questions you may have and also to make sure your projects will be completed by the deadline.
​
-Once all reports have been submitted the teams will go to pitch their projects to a representative of the building industry, government and investors/ecosystem where 10 finalists will be chosen.
​
-These 2 finalists will pitch their projects once again to the government and to potential sponsors and whatever team gains the most sponsorship funding will win the competition and they will be an active part of the creation of their project to be integrated into building a brand new zero energy home community.
Who can partake in the competition?
University students with either one of these courses: architecture, maths, physics, engineering, building science, construction management, interior design and landscape architecture
